The task will take up to approximately 15 minutes.
You will have to remember a pair of colours and report one of them by
choosing between two given choices.
Please do not participate if you have any form of colour blindness or
do not have normal or
corrected-to-normal vision (wearing glasses or contacts is fine).
During the task, you'll perform 120 trials; each trial lasts about 3–5
seconds.
Starting the experiment will indicate that you have read the consent text below and agree to participate.
Clicking the Start Experiment button will switch your browser to full screen.
If this does not work, press F11 on Windows or
^+⌘+F (Control+Cmd+F) on a Mac to go full screen manually.
CONSENT TEXT PLACEHOLDER
On each trial, you'll see two colours. You'll need to remember their hues
as accurately as possible.
We encourage you to use visual memory (i.e. remember as if you are
taking a photograph).
Please keep your eyes at the crosshair in the middle.
Two colours will appear briefly at 2 of 12 locations that form a ring
(not at the two circles either side of the crosshair).

You might find it a little challenging sometimes. Don't worry and just
try your best.

Then, the colours will disappear for a short period (less than a second).

Then two very similar colour choices will appear on each side of
the crosshair.
You will have to report the correct hue at the test location (pointed at
by the arrow).
Press Z to choose the left circle or M to choose the right
circle as your response.
The next trial will start after you make a response.
The sequence will always be like this. Two colours come up and disappear
for a brief period, then you make a response, and repeat.
Next, we will do a short comprehension check to make sure you understood
the task before proceeding.
